Website Strength

Strength of the website that is pointing towards your website is an important issue in the valuation of links. The best way is to check Google PageRank of that website.

Google pays more attention to a site having high Google PageRank than a website having low PageRank. Higher the Google PageRank, the better is the inbound link.

If a site with a PageRank 8 links to your site, this vote is worth significantly more than a link from a PageRank 3 site. This is because a PageRank 8 site is, in Google's eyes, a more important site than the PageRank 3 site.

Relevancy

Link page or website theme must be relevant to your website theme.If you have website related to tour and travel then you must find link on travel related website. Search engine pays more attention to relevancy these days and they can determine what is relevant and what is not.

Anchor Text

Anchor Text used to link your website is important. Use main keywords or phrases you are trying for rankings as anchor text, but not always the same because at the same time your anchor text must look natural. Sometimes strong websites are beaten within a week due to poor selection of anchor text.
